Resources / Firm approval controls

Define evidence for the firm's go-live decision

Make activation depend on passed workflow checks and clear ownership.

01

The operational decision

Make activation depend on passed workflow checks and clear ownership. Operational delegation should be explicit: staff and software need to know which actions are permitted and which require firm review. A smooth workflow is not a substitute for that approval record.

02

Prepare the workflow

Collect script signoff, routing tests, calendar conditions, notification results and the agreed rollback; keep unresolved requirements visible.

03

Example wording for approval

“The example pilot is ready only for the scope whose checks have passed. Payment or a successful voice demonstration does not substitute for the firm's operational approval.”

04

Worked example

The fictional project has a paid invoice and a successful greeting demo, but its final fallback route is unowned. The go-live record should show that requirement unresolved and withhold activation of the affected path. Assign the owner, run the failed-transfer test and retain the result for the firm's reviewer. Keeping evidence by requirement prevents one impressive demonstration or commercial milestone from concealing an operational gap that would leave a real inquiry without a dependable next step.

05

Handoff record

Record these task-specific fields: required check, evidence, approving role, unresolved condition.

06

Acceptance check

Mark the purchase complete while a fallback test fails. The affected route should remain inactive until the firm reviews and resolves the failure.
