The operational decision
Tell callers the fictional-data rule before asking an intake question. A public legal-intake demonstration should show a useful conversation while remaining separate from real inquiries and firm decisions. Visitors must understand that the caller, matter and result are fictional.
Prepare the workflow
Place the notice at the start of the audible greeting and near the website call action; explain that no real firm action occurs.
Example wording for approval
“This is a fictional legal-intake demonstration. Please use invented information only. No attorney is reviewing this call, and no consultation or representation is being arranged.”
Worked example
A visitor reaches the demonstration through a shared telephone link, bypassing the webpage warning. The audible introduction should still explain that the call is fictional and no attorney is reviewing it. Offer a simple invented consultation scenario afterward. Test someone immediately describing a real matter: the assistant should redirect rather than continue collecting details for realism. The notice and handler must agree, so a spoken fictional label does not sit on top of a live staff escalation or booking workflow.
Handoff record
Record these task-specific fields: notice text, greeting position, scenario label, reviewer.
Acceptance check
Call the demo without reading its page first. The notice should still arrive before a prompt that might invite a real matter narrative.
